Our unique combination of rye and wheat results in a superiorly smooth straight rye whiskey. This high wheat mash bill of 65% rye and 35% wheat is fermented for three days and then masterfully distilled in batches using our hybrid copper stills. It’s being aged for seven years in full-size, virgin American oak barrels. The result is a perfect sipping whiskey.

The Story: Winged Hussar

In the 16th and 17th centuries, the Winged Hussars were one of the most feared cavalry forces in Europe. This unit of horseback soldiers were distinguished by their leopard skin capes, plumed helmets, and wings made from eagle feathers mounted to their armor. Their most famous victory was the Siege of Vienna in 1683, where they fought off the Ottomans and effectively thwarted their foothold over Europe.
